Stevens County Fire District No. 1 will be accepting application to test for a firefighter eligibility list. There will be a 4 step process beginning with submitting your application along with a Non-Refundable $25.00 fee. For more information and an application packet please click here. Residential Burning is now allowed by order of the Stevens County Fire Marshal – Kendle Allen, Sheriff. (10-05-2011). A reminder to use common sense when burning–most areas are not saturated and will take time to become moist again.

Car Seat & Booster Seat Law

Washington State Law lists three stages of car/booster seat arrangements for our children:

Age 1 & younger
REAR FACING INFANT SEAT

Age 1 to 4 (20-40 LBS.
FORWARD FACING CHILD CAR SEAT

Age 4 to 8 (40-80 LBS.)
BOOSTER SEAT
