All debris burning on DNR jurisdiction is prohibited. This includes rule burning and permit burning. Campfires on DNR protected lands are NOT allowed.  Contact the county for information on recreation burning and debris burning on improved property.

Definition of a “HIGH” rating: Wildfires are likely. Fires in heavy, continuous fuel, such as mature grassland, weed fields, and forest litter, will be difficult to control under windy conditions. Control through direct attack may be difficult but possible, and mop up will be required.
