I have lived in southeast Stevens County since 1994. I’m originally from Rochester, NY. I arrived in Spokane. WA in 1976 as a B-52 mechanic at Fairchild AFB. When I exited the Air Force, I focused on my education. completing my associates degree at Spokane Falls Community College, and my bachelor’s, and master’s degree at Seattle City University.
While pursuing these degrees, I also worked full time. Employed by American Sign and Indicator for seven years, then moved on to Hewlett-Packard, where I was employed until I retired in 2003, 20 years. My role with H/P was Corporate Supply Chain Manager for a variety of commodities.
After leaving H/P, I was appointed to the Board of Equalization, for Stevens County. I sat as a member of the board for ten years. I stepped down from the Board of Equalization when I was appointed to finish a vacated term for the fire district in 2013. While serving as your fire commissioner, I also served on the board for Inland Power and Light for six years, and I taught as an Adjunct Instructor, in the Human Services department for Spokane Falls Community College for four years.
I enjoy serving my community and I’m grateful, you have given me the opportunity to do so.
